BlackPeak Capital is now a Certified B Corporation, achieved an overall B Corp score of 114.0 points, reflecting our commitment to high social, environmental, and governance standards.
Why B Corp?
It took time for us to commit to a specific certification framework, as we wanted to ensure our approach was credible, transparent, and led to meaningful impact. B Corp Certification holds significance because it goes beyond a one-time assessment - it requires continuous improvement and accountability, aligning businesses with a global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.
Unlike other business certifications, B Lab stands out for its comprehensive approach to measuring a company’s entire social and environmental impact. To become a B Corp, we had to go through an rigorous impact assessment in which we answered 251 questions on topics such as corporate governance, employees, customers, community and environmental impact.
This process took us over six months and while it didn’t change our core values or mission, it has sharpened our focus on how we operate and, most importantly, how we can continuously improve. Only companies that achieve more than 80 points in the Impact Assessment receive the certificate and BlackPeak currently has 114.0 points.
